Here at Justin’s Place, the Nest program offers a nurturing community, seamlessly interwoven with our existing programs. The Nest empowers single mothers by providing them with stable housing, personalized support, and holistic training. This comprehensive approach enables them to leave their past burdens behind and launch into a life free of crisis and dependence on government services. Our goal is for each family to be nurtured and mentored within the Nest, ultimately transitioning towards their own homes with the skills and support they gained here.

Justin’s Place embodies this spirit of compassion and empowerment; it’s more than just a roof over someone’s head — it’s a chance to break the cycle of poverty and build a brighter future.

HERE’S HOW IT WORKS

STABLE AND SUPPORTIVE LIVING ENVIRONMENT

Justin’s Place owns and operates The Nest, a 24-unit/ 12 duplex restorative community for single mothers and their families. Within 6 months of starting the program, mothers must be working towards some type of accreditation, job training, or working full-time, to afford market rent or home ownership by program graduation.

LIFE GROUPS

Teams of five to seven people ranging in age and life experience walking alongside each family. These mutually beneficial relationships are focused on physical, mental, and spiritual growth, while also increasing social capital and helping them replace the broken model of generational poverty.

FAMILY ADVOCACY

Each family develops a resident life plan that leverages their strengths in completing educational, career, parenting, and personal growth goals. The Nest staff surrounds the family with a supportive community and partners who are all focused on helping the family realize their dreams.
